4-Methylmethcathinone (4-MMC) is commonly known as mephedrone. It is a research chemical that does not yet have scientific findings regarding its consumption and the associated risks and side effects.
What is clear is that it is a stimulant/empathogen. Mephedrone is available as powder or in tablet form. Consumed orally, the effect begins after about 30-60 minutes and lasts about 3-5 hours. Nasal consumption causes the effect to start after about 5-10 minutes and lasts about 1-2 hours.

Mephedrone increases the willingness to intentionally overstep boundaries and to forego safer sex. This increases the risk of infection with HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.
Sex and mephedrone works only with mutual consent and trust. On mephedrone, you may do things you would not normally do. Clarify in the run-up as to the things you both want to do and not to do during sex.
Sex on mephedrone can be very aggressive and can be very one-sided. Only consume so much that you can defend yourself and still recognise the defence signals of your partner.
Before getting down to sex, make sure you have enough safer sex material (gloves, condoms, lubricants) at hand.
When on mephedrone, the pain and sensitivity of your dick is mostly lowered and it can become more difficult to cum.
If you fuck for longer, change condoms every half hour.
Listen to your body! If you notice any changes, see a doctor immediately. If you have different sex partners, get tested every 6 months for sexually transmitted infections and get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B.
HIV & Mephedrone
Currently, little is known about the risks and interactions of mephedrone. Take drugs and HIV medications at separate times. This reduces any potential interactions. Always dosage your drugs low when taking medication. The nights can be long – take enough medication with you and stick to your medication times. Talk to your doctor about the interactions between your HIV medication and drugs!
Protease inhibitors (Ritonavir (Norvir/Kaletra)) can lead to dangerous concentrations of mephedrone in your blood. Caution: Serious danger of overdosing. In addition, the levels of HIV medication can increase in your body and result in increased side effects.
